| Ask some of the others how they are coming along with their training. Remember these pups will tend to act the same as their siblings. He is really comfortable to be just going where he pleases. Id say try to be more serious about him doing it if your not already. He may see a change in attitude and try something new. _________________ Need A custom Website? Contact me for more info!

| I too had a Silent guy. He'd sit at the back door and if I didn't see him...he'd eventually go...but he'd never make a peep. Atleast he is associating going to the backdoor as a sign that he needs to go out. You may have to watch him more closely or use a baby gate to keep him in an area where you can see him. Some folks were able to teach their pups to ring a bell hanging on the backdoor. I've not be able to accomplish that one, but it may be something to consider.
The walking while peeing actually made me laugh...I know its not funny...but it is kinda. It sounds as though he's having a hard time holding longer. When Bella was a puppy I would pick her up and carry her out to avoid that as well...but as she gained more control over her bladder I didn't have to do that anymore. Does he still get up to go out in the middle of the night?
It's the hardest part of puppy raising. I thought I would never make it through both of my pups. Gunner took forever to potty train. FOREVER. Bella on the other hand was easier to handle but it still took some time to work out. I think it was faster since I was home all the time and watched her all the time. She did not have free roam of the house and was gated in the living room when I could watch her. When I had other things to do...she was crated. I used the crate to teach her to whine when she had to go out. Anytime she whined in her crate...we went out immediately. She did her business and we came back immediately...no playing or fussing around outside. If she didn't go...we went back to the crate. Until we tried again. Eventually that led to her whining near the backdoor. She still fusses when she's ready to go out. Gunner still sits there silently. Of course now he'll come into the living room and give you the "stare" when hes ready to go out.
Anyways, I hope this helps. Keep your spirits up...it does come. If I can potty train a puppy anyone can! |

| HI Wendlin, I have the brother to your pup and he is pretty much potty trained now. He knows to not go in the house but i dont think he has the ability to hold it yet so its up to me to remember to take him out every half hour. He has an accident only once in awhile when I let my guard down and think he has stopped going in the house. But as far as walking amd peeing mine does that too but i think we may have one up on you. Pete pees while laying down or sitting like he is just to tired to stand and go. I dont know what its about but definatly persistence is the only way to potty train and they all learn at different speeds. Good luck!!! |

| I've never had a pup pee while laying down, lol. Gunner ocassionally walks while still peeing. It's like he's in a hurry to sniff something new and peeing is just not worth standing still. Tira has mastered the art of pooping and peeing at the same time, lmao. That's a funny one to watch. When she's in a real hurry, or reeeeaaaally has to go - she'll do both at once. The pups pretty much go where they want although they are trying to pee on the potty pads. Sometimes they get to far away and just go where ever they are standing. But, they are only 3 1/2 weeks old. So..... |

| | Could be like a bladder infection or like my guys urinary incontinence, but at this age I'd say its more just a lack of bladder control just yet. |

| Thanks everyone!! I know this time will pass soon. I have to say we have all been super busy with my daughter's birthday, that we may have been slacking a bit. He has not "wet" in the house for the last 2 days. ( Knock on wood. ) I do think it has a bit to do with the fact that's these guys are sooooo young. They tend to not hold it for very long. I haven't heard of laying down while going either, but maybe he's just being lazy. Our little guy, ( when we went to see the Vet ) had developed a small bug in his sheath, ( the outside covering's to his manhood), which might have something to do with him going more frequent then others. ( Kinda like a UTI in humans I suppose. ) All you do is flush with a syringe of warm water. Yuck. lol
Let's just say he is doing much better, since the party's are over. I really do think that this is just part of being a puppy. I am finally starting to relax a bit more too.
I think he's learning now!! He just barked at the back door. To heck with the bell he said! |

| | Pete has only peed laying down twice but its after he has played all day and hasnt had any naps. You can tell he is just lazy. He is really talented though because he has never got any on himself. For the most part he is going very well but he is just a goof ball |

| Uti? Flushing? Gross... But yeah that will cause some peeing uncontrollably. Glad things are working better now.
Pete sounds like a real nut and I agree super talented if he didn't get any on him! How funny. |
