| I found this article in " Womans World" of all places: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Can't get Fido to stop barking or destroying your home while you're out? Try using a diffuser that wafts out "dog-appeasing pheromones" (DAPs) - scentless chemicals that humans also emit. When British researchers tested the device at a noisy dog adoption shelter the canines instantly quieted down and became friendler! Find a DAP diffuser at your local pet store for about $20. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I had no idea something like this exsited. What are your thoughts. Probably a gimic??? I wonder if it REALLY works? |

| I have seen it work for cats first hand- Called Feliway diffuser. It works great for inappropriate urination and intercat aggression.....I don't really see it working on a non-hormonal problem like barking and distruction of belongings...I think the shelter story is an exaggeration, unless they spiked it with a sedative |

| | I've never seen that either. I doubt it works. I'm not home if my pups are barking anyways. I think I have heard of something similar tho for like seperation anxiety. Again, I don't know if it works. But I think puppies probably are going to bark for a bit until they get used to being alone. I know my three will bark when they hear me pull up or the garage door open. They know someone is home. |
