| First are the "Competition" kids . These 3 are the ones who join us in the ring, and make up our (small) future breeding program :
^ Daisy - 19 months old. Field/Show linage. g.Grandsired by FC AFC Riparian Roughrider and Ch. Shamrock Acres Razzle Dazzle, CD JH. Beautiful girl , intelligent, loving, and loves to retrieve. Started doing retrieves to hand at 3 months and is tennis ball crazy lol. Daisy's pedigree goes back to greats such as FC AFC Air Express, FC AFC Super Cheif, FC AFC Trumarcs Zip Code and FC AFC Candlewood's MD Huston- to name a few.
^ Bella - 9 months old. Show linage. Grandsired by Multi. BISS Ch. Sureshot Hyspire Impressive and Am/Can. Ch. Lor-Al's Got Our Power Play, CD MH (one of 36 Labs to have a Ch. and MH). She lives to please and loves to retrieve ! She is full of personality and is a major goof ! Currently being trained for Show. Novice Obedience trained. Title in progress : CGC . Bella's pedigree is full of super dogs. She is the great grand-daughter of Ch. Dickendall Arnold, JH ; Am/Intl. Ch. Stronglines Goblin, CGC (import) ; Ch. Windfall's Pipe Major ; and Pointed - Whitewater's Macleod O'Coldwater (imported). Her show career begins April 18th and will be tested for her CGC the end of Feb.
^ Beau - 23 months old. Show/Field linage. Grandsired by Williams Earleebird Hunter, CD and Snowyoak's BWR Blackjack. g.Grandsired by Ch. Campbellcroft's P.B. Max, CD JH and Ch. Snowyriver Snowyoak Morgan. Beau's pedigree also hosts a number of "greats", such as CFC Pachanga Magnum Force, Ch. Cedarwood Gunner O'Fawnhaven, and Ch. Charway BallyWillwill- to name a few !.
Sorry if I sound braggy above or below, I don't mean to. I'm just a proud "mommy" and "foster mommy".
Our "pets"- not a part of our breeding program. They are our ring-side cheerleaders and make our family whole :
^ Buddy - 4yrs (right) with Rainy 4 yrs (left) - both Black Labs. Buddy is our show off and Rainy is our "baby girl". Very sweet Labs who love to cuddle !
^ Dixie - 6 yr old Black Lab. Our flame so to speak. She's a real lover and is just as smart as can be !
^ Kula- 1yr old Black Lab. Our poor little girl. She has a bad hip, and can't really keep up with the others but boy is she a sweet heart and one tough cookie ! Very loving, very smart and loyal ! She is our little retriever.
^ Aj- 3yr old Basset hound mix - rescue. Aj is a bit reserved with new people but is a lover. He's a goof and pretty darn smart. Some times we think he believes he's a Lab lol.
^ Blackie - 9/10 yr old Pom/Shih-Tzu mix - rescue. Possibly the result of a puppy mill or just a bybr. Very sweet boy but not exactly the smartest tool in the shed. Loves people, especially kids.
Muffin - 11 week old Black Lab - Foster/rescue - super sweet little girl , very smart and eager to please. She is doing great on potty training/house training and basic obedience. We think she will be ready to be adopted out in a month or so.
That's everyone. _________________

| Well, all these just answered my post in the other thread.
We plan on showing Gunner as soon as we get back to S.C. It's just hard to do that kind of thing when travelling is required and you are saving to move. He'll only be 3 1/2 yo...older, but still eligible.
Our female, Tira, is also out of NFC/NAFC Super Chief, FC/AFC Trumarc's Raider, Canadian Dual CH. Dart of Netley Creek (which goes back to Dual Ch. Banchory Bolo), and her grt grandsire FC/AFC Hammerin' Hawk is/was a well known field Lab.
Tira and Daisy are cousins through Super Chief -- Cool! We're like family. LOL
You've got a great group there. |

| Yeah when we got our Bella...after about an hour...she thought she was the same size as Gunner. So I had to watch her to make sure she didn't get herself into trouble. Now it's not so bad...she's about half his size and can keep up with him. Sometimes, he has a hard time keeping up with her.
So you're a foster mom as well? What rescue do you work with? I do phone work for Heart of Texas Lab Rescue. It's very hard not to want to adopt them all though. |

| Well you all must be really special folks...Dogs are lucky to find their way to your home.
I was super suprised to see how many Labs are homeless. I guess I just figured since they're such great dogs that they wouldn't be in the situation as some other breeds. Boy was I wrong. I have seen some reallly nice dogs come into the rescue...really just blows my mind.
Too bad you all are way up in Idaho! |

| | I know what you mean...my family is a bit different than me...they think animals are animals...simply replaceable. My dad especially cannot figure out why I spend the money I do on my two. My husbands family is like us...they love their dogs and they do whatever necessary to take care of them. Of course they all have Labs too. |

| I got my dog loving...well, pet loving in general....from my dad. He would feed the neighborhood cats, the animals at the airport that were homeless, take in any dog that wandered into the yard, etc. The airport cats ended up being tamed and brought to their new home. There were about 15 cats!!! He's also got one dog (Rot) that was given to him for his birthday, another dog that was found (mastiff), a pit pup that they found and an older dog that had heartworms that they found and kept til she died.
I can't stand to see an animal wandering around or on the streets. I know I can't take them all in, but I do try to feed the ones near our home...until they don't show up anymore. I sometimes wonder if peopel just don't care and let their dogs wander the neighborhood!? I wouldn't doubt it around here.
Tira LOVES to retrieve as well. The only time she stops is if you say "hungry", "who wants food?" or she has to potty. LMAO I think you can stop any Lab from doing anything by mentioning food.
What information on showing Gunner could you give me?
Oh, LMH - here's our new site -- durdenslabradorretrievers.org |
