Is it true that when puppies recieve their first shot, Say they should suckle off mama after that is it true that mamas milk works against the shot?

i've always heard that mom's milk is full of antibodies that boost the system. Nothing against it. Never heard of it going against the vaccines either. I'd think it would help instead of hurt.

Not to my knowledge.. The pups will get, like LML said, anibodies that will protect agaisnt viruses. That's why it's important for pups to nurse for the first time, shortly after birth. After a while, the immunities (sp?) wear off. Anyway, by 6 weeks, they will mostly be suckling for security . Momma will not like having them baby teeth at the milk bar, so she'll limit the pups too.. Friends of mine have not had any problems , so I say it's not likely.

So far so good the pups have taken to their shot well. A couple got droopy faced over it but over all things look good.

Don't they normally have droopy faces? Smile I just love those guys they're all so cute. I couldn't imagine their faces being any droopier.

lol yea they do. Nah just a couple had a look like dad what did you do to me? Next set comes on the 28th. Then boosters at 12 to 15 weeks. But I dont imagine I will be giving the pups that shot as they will probably be all gone. With the exception of Abby. That is what I named the female I am keeping.
