I am not ashamed to say this...I feed Ol' Roy. It's the only food that all 3 like that none have allergic skin reactions/hair loss to and it's cheap. The Gourmet Balance has real meat, veggies and vitamins and is pretty good overall. It's not the best, by far, but we only get one or two solid poops per day instead of the 4 - 6 we used to get with other "better" foods (Eukanuba, Pedigree, etc).

What do you feed? Why?

I feed ProPlan. I have fed Gunner that since he was a pup. Both his breeder and Bella's breeder both used ProPlan and we just kept them on it to avoid having to change their diet. I have had no problems with it at all. They both look super healthy, nice coats, skin, and teeth. I add green beans or peas occasionally. They love vegetables.

I've added green beans as well. Also some yogurt if gas gets really bad. Sometimes, as a filler when they have an upset stomach, they get rice or rice and boiled turkey or burger. I wish the Gourmet Balance came in 50 lb bags cause I'd use it over the gravy making bits (Ol' Roy brand, can't think of the name) they eat now. GB has peas, carrots, beets, meat and other vitamins in it. But this stuff we use now is good as well. We add water and use less food because the water/gravy helps fill them up without adding weight. Smile They love it and that's what counts.

Yep..I haven't found a food that Gunner didn't like. I even bought a bag one time on my trip from FL to TX at a travel plaza because I had forgotten his food at home. He loved that stuff too. Smile I think it was Dog Chow or something. He didn't care as long as he got to eat that day.

Labs will eat anything. Anyone that has one knows that! That's part of the problem of having a Lab. I think it's pretty easy to keep their coats shiny, eyes clear and skin good as long as you realize how they are eating (how much and how fast), if they are eating (healthy lab will always eat), and what they are doing during the day (rolling around, playing in dirt, etc).

Ol' Roy And Super Bloom, Perfect mix. Peel back on the Bloom and they are ready to hunt. The type I use is a little low on fat so the bloom picks up for that. But its really high in protien. So if we slow or stop the bloom they have a high protien diet in return we get a non stop hound. One that will run for miles. We cannot go wrong with the feed we use.

We feed Kirkland Lamb and Rice. Allot of Labs are allergic to Poultry , and we have 2 that are. They do really well on it, it's not spendy and all of the puppers love it.

It is. It's a good quality brand for a good price.
