| | I signed it and sent it to the rest of my family. All are animal lovers and will, most likely, sign as well. At least they are almost halfway to their goal. |

| | Even if he's not fired the family can still sue for animal cruelty and neglect. He stood by chatting, taking his time and making snide comments of "it's just a dog, buy another one", instead of making an effort to help these people with their dog. He let their dog die a very uncomfortable and inhumane death, with no medical attention, to issue a ticket. He could have given a police escort to the vet, and while the g/f was getting the dog looked at the b/f could have been issued the ticket. Now that the ticket has been dropped the dogs death is even more pointless because he died for nothing as well as the stupidity and lack of concern on the officers behalf. |

| | I know...it really makes me sick. The video made me want to go through the tv and strangle him. He could have done something as simple as say...I'll mail the ticket to your house or something and let them go even if he couldnt/wouldnt escort them. I understand that all people do not feel the same as we do about dogs...but there is no reason to say something so cruel when the person is so distraught and to waste time chatting. That's what makes me so mad b/c it's like he was using his authority to keep them there just b/c he could. Power trip. What gets me too...is you pull him over b/c he's speeding and it's dangerous, etc etc. But do you think he's going to drive him any safer b/c he's so emotional over the death of his pet and the way he was treated? The officer didn't think about that b/c he's an a**. He'll get what's coming to him...karma karma |
