Happy St. Patrick's Day to you! Whether you are Irish or not, we must recognize that the Irish have given the world some wonderful dog breeds.
The Irish Setter, the most popular of the Irish breeds, is a sensitive dog and does best in families that shower him with love and affection. Irish setters are known to be devoted and protective, especially around children.
Do you know what the other Irish breeds are? How many can you name?

| That explains the red hair the setter has. I think they're tooo beautiful...tho the one I met was a little whacky. I loved braiding the hair on top of his head. I don't think he liked it too much. I wish I would have taken a picture of that.

| Yeah they do have the really red hair. That would have been a cute picture. Why is it when you could use a camera, one is NEVER around!

| | We did for a few weeks. Needless to say the Setter didn't care for Bella the pup jumping at him and really kinda stayed away from my dogs. He was so "into" his owner that he didn't care to be around other dogs. |

I love Irish Setters but match better with Gordon's, so probably will never add one to the fam. but I love their coat and I hear allot about their personality as a breed. I have to wonder how it would be if we had an Irish Setter and a Labrador under the same roof lol.
