| | Hey guys...just wonderin if anyone of you all have dogs that eat each others poo. I know its gross. It's super gross to see your cute little pup out picking up piles in the backyard...I've read that adding pineapple to their food will help. Has anyone tried this with any success or has any other ideas to end this disgusting habit. |

| Gunner has a tendency to eat his poop if he has an "accident" inside. It's like he's trying to get rid of the evidence before we find it or something. He knows what he's done is wrong. Both the pooing and the eating of poo. The only thing we've been able to do is make sure he poops before bedtime and before we leave. If he won't, or doesn't have to, we make sure he has access to a non-carpeted room. I mean, if he's gotta go and we're not there or he's doing it for other reasons, then he's gonna do it I guess. I'd go with the pineapple idea or putting tobasco sauce on the other piles of poo and see if that stops him/her. |

| | I dont believe I ever heard of a dog making a habit out of this only every now and then. Smelling a unatural scent of the poo just for instance, Someone had some table scraps. It will smell different than that of regular poo. Its in my knowledge to not have poo laying aroung long enough to get ate. That might help some but for the parks or woods well thats another story. I would not throw off the balanced diet in a way to fix it. It really sounds better to give a call off command rather than give the dogs fruit and such. Isnt their alot of acidic juices in pineapple? |

| All I know is that Gunner would eat poo within seconds of getting it out. I don't know if it was because Rebel was in the same room and not potty broke all the way or what...but he hasn't done it in awhile. He will offer to eat the puppies poo if Tira won't clean up after them right away. He can be a strange dog...I really wish I could tell what he was thinking some days. |

| I wish I could tell what they were thinking too. And Bella is the same way...she's eating it before it hits the ground as long as it's not her own. I am wondering since Gunner takes some supplements if that has anything to do with the unnatural scent. I'll have to ask the vet about it.
I don't believe pineapple is dangerous to dogs, but have not heard or read anything about it being so. |

| Gunner would eat his own while Rebel was here. Now he just helps Tira eat the puppies poop if she's not fast enough. |

| This is a guess. But a while back I read something on the internet, that dogs and puppies will eat poop if they feel they need more vitamins and nutrients. Hard to believe, but if you have active labs, this might be the case. You can tell they are all stacked and as healthy as can be, just might need a little extra.... natural vitamins. lol |

| | Poop Eaters. LOL. Yeah it's not that funny, but they do...or Bella does. My husband read that too about the vitamins, or that they're cleaning up their space. I am not sure she needs vitamins....They all get a high quality food and believe me they're not that active. But I am going to ask the vet next time we are in. I think it's more just a thing that she likes to eat...and eat everything. She eats sticks, bugs, beetles, leaves...pretty much anything she can get her hands on. What a nut. And as far as cleaning up their yard, well that happens weekly and well she picks up everyones except for her own. |
