| Thank you, thank you! I got $100 wal mart gift card from my mom, $50 from my mother in law, and Tony got me a Nintendo DS with "Flash Focus" and "Mario Party". I went to A-Z Game shop and bought "Harry Potter" and "WarioLand 4" *for Gameboy Advanced but also plays on DS*. We went to Wal Mart and I got a case, some screen covers, extra stylus', a headset and car charger *all in one pack* and picked up "Brain Age" and "Brain Age 2". I had a Harry Potter cake - had Harry going towards Hogwarts Express, platform 9 3/4's pushing his cart with Hedwig in her cage. Very neat cake! I also got a movie called "Dragon" and one called The Seeker". Another good thing that happened is that someone is coming to get our last little boy Sunday at 1pm. Only $175 but with gas so very high and people driving from St. Louis to pick him up (and the pups getting older)...it's better than nothing AND he's going to a family with Labrador experience. They had a Lab before, have one named "Rex" now (a 1 yr old yellow male) and have two kids that are old enough to help train the pup. They have a fenced in yard and he'll be inside/outside with Rex. She sounds very nice and knowledgeable and is bringing Rex to meet the pup before they get home (neutral territory since the house is Tira and Gunners and not really the pups). I'm gonna miss this one the most!!! He's so dang sweet and good looking. OH - I had a lady call from CALIFORNIA wanting us to ship our female to her if her husband approves of it all. She asked every question any informed owner could ask (about the breed, pedigree, temperament, LR vs FR, hunting, showing, etc). I was pretty impressed. I sent pictures of Gunner, Tira and the little girl as well as copies of their pedigrees. I told her shipping would probably run about $300 + the cost of the kennel to ship him in and gas to the airport *50 miles away*. I also told her that shipping costs would need to be sent before the pup went anywhere and once she got the pup then she could send the actual payment on the puppy. I just don't know if I feel comfortable with shipping though?! Any thoughts? |

| I dont wish to burn someone out of getting a pup over here but do you really want my opinion on shipping? lol Id say I will never do it again unless I get paid big$$ reason being........... The prices went up on flight tickets, Gas to and from the airport as well as to the vets twice! Then you need to go buy the crate thus more gas and the little food and water deal for it, Also the bedding inside, any treats you may send along ect.....
Also as a breeder/Sender you would need to be sure the pup is not going to poop on flight. Its weeks of planning in my eyes and that being said compensation is the key.
Other than that LML , Glad I am not the only one that plays games lol. Also glad you had a good B-Day
If I ever ship a pup, I will charge 1k for shipping alone! Also just for me to feed my hounds gas wise makes the price of pups go up as well. It will be sometime until we have a litter here but when it happens $800 per pup Maybe even $1000 I still have the lil male here that the guy payed for..... He ended up crossing the line and I told him to have his hound picked up. I hope he dont come in a way this male is one hell of a swimmer as well as tree hound, He is outdoing my "Dan" his brother. But folks can get "Redbones" Back east for $250 to $350 sometimes cheaper. LOL
But still to this day I cannot find Redbones that look like ours. FOR SALE AT LEAST _________________ Need A custom Website? Contact me for more info!

I don't mind the idea of shipping. I've heard some stories, but in all honestly, who locally would pay $900 for a pup, even though it's a better deal then MANY ? Not to many would. Many of the people who's shown interest in this litter have been locally and out of state and who shows the most interest AFTER they hear the price ? Out of staters. But you may have a problem or two since the weather is not very nice in most places. The temp has to be below 85*F or the pup cannot be shipped.. Also with the shipping cost and puppy fee.. it ALL comes to us before the pup is shipped. NO checks ! Money orders I would accept , but NO checks ! If the person is willing to wait 10 days, then I would think it would be OK, but not before. When we have our litter, anyone shipping their puppy must send the puppy amount in full, when the puppies are 6 weeks old if paying by check or 7 weeks, if by money order.. Shipping must either A) Be paid for and arranged by them , then they must send Delivery cost to the Airport and cost for Transport Kennel or B) we make all arrangements and they pay a flat rate of $300 and it includes everything. _________________

| Well I haven't heard back from the Cali woman yet so I'm not holding my breath. The little boy is definitely leaving tomorrow though. The only bad thing is that I have to bathe BOTH of them before company comes because somehow, someway, they decided to get into a bottle of white out...yes...white out. EEK!!! Lemme tell ya - when Tony called me at work and told me I freaked out initially. At least they didn't eat any of it. There are little spots around the mouth, a spot on his ear, a mark or two on his chest and some of both of their feet. She got the worst of it though. Gotta love puppies! |

| He left about half an hour ago. I teared up. What can I say, he was my favorite. His new name is "Riley" and he has a 1 yr old yellow Lab named "Rex" to play with. Rex could definitely use some socialization with other dogs. He's not agressive just very, very playful. He wants to by-pass the sniffing/intro stage and go straight for the fun stuff. He scared Riley at first...he peed on me a little bit (I was holding him) - he's never peed submissively before either. After the first few minutes, and knowing that me, Tony and his new people, weren't going to let anything happen to him, he walked up to Rex and starting pawing at his head and playing with his tail just-a waggin. Now they'll both have someone to play with at home! The new owners, Danielle and Dave *and their 2 kids*, seemed very nice. She was surprised at getting the food, bowl, collar, leash, 2 toys and all the extras. They said they still send pictures and keep in touch with Rex's breeder and they are more than happy to do the same for us. I also told them that in about 3 months Riley will be bigger than Rex. Rex maybe weighed 60 lbs (he has more of a field look and is leaner) and is as big as he's going to get. Riley will easily be 80 lbs in a few months. I'll have pictures posted by this evening as long as the software cooperates. |
